Beth has a strong passion for capacity building and training. As a consultant Beth works towards creating productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and culturally diverse environments.With a strong interest in the development of services and assistive products for people with a disability and a belief that their care should be provided by appropriately trained and skilled professionals. Beth provides project management, visionary and research for NGOs, clinics and larger national and international organisations to assist in the development of disability services, prosthetic, orthotic and assistive technology.Beth’s experience include:- benchmarking international P&O services against the WHO standards for organisations such as ICRC, NGOs and other international bodies- developing guidelines for upper limb amputation rehabilitation- development of curriculum for the International Centre Vietnam, Strathclyde University, Pittsburgh University and their prosthetic, orthotic and rehabilitation programs - establishment of a disability register and outreach program with African Vision Malawi based in Lilongwe- development of outreach and service delivery for 500 miles prosthetic and orthotic clinic in Lilongwe - practice resources and stakeholder development for Exercise & Sports Science Australia - establishment of practicum program for Griffith University and their exercise physiology students- end stage rehabilitation programs for amputees and individuals with mobility conditions Through the various roles and projects, Beth has developed her skills as a project manager and enjoys the diversity that projects and organisations bring.Her passion is however within the disability sector to help build and create sustainable services through evidence based practice by assisting and guiding management and clinical personnel.#prosthetics #orthotics #assistivetechnology #rehabilitation #disability #diversity #development
