My Position was recently eliminated due to budget issues in the Development department at Bucknell University. I was employed as an Advancement Information Specialist - in the Campaign Administration Department, division of Development and Alumni Relations at Bucknell University. ReportWriting was the main focus of my job, with the Banner database across campus, specializing in the Advancement data. I was fluent with the Hyperion reportwriting tool, and have completed some initial training on the Cognos software tools. I supported the Annual Fund, and each of the individual fund raising team for Bucknell, as well as the President's office and all development staff while in this position with any data related issues, and query they would need, any data they would like to see, any report that they would need. I also used and self trained on the Imodules software, and created the Reunion and Homecoming online registration systems for Bucknell, and several others, and all related reports to track the data related to these systems. I worked with the IT teams to test and analyze programs that were written within the development area, and worked start to finish on many areas within the development team, where reports were needed. I worked as well with the Research team to upload student data to be analyzed and pull the parent data back down for our team to analyze for Wealth research. I also worked very closely with our Gifts department, tracking and managing and reporting on all gifts that were made to the university, and worked yearly on the Major Gifts Report, which broke all giving down by levels and associations, a presentation given to all alumni and quite a large project. The report writing/querying of Advancement data at a Higher Education university touched many sensitive areas; it's given me a very strong background in this venue.

For several years, i served as a consultant to several small and medium sized businesses in the central PA area, helping them with their ReportWriting needs and other data processing and information technology issues. I developed several very close customer relationships throughout my years of working for a previous company. Some felt like I was just a part of their business, so when I became available to work on my own, it was a natural move to become a piece of these local businesses and continue to help them as their consultant. It was a very enjoyable experience, that I miss very much sometimes.

This was a job where I did it all, from start to finish, demos to sales to implementations to trainings to the full lifecircle with customer account maintenance. I got to know my customers very well, and lived with them day in and out on their projects. We specialized in Great Plains Business Software, and special payroll software at the time, and did many many many specialized Crystal Reports to compliment each specific customer.
