My career began as a Sous Chef in several valley area restaurants after graduating from Culinary School before launching a personal chef service, providing nutritious, personalized meals for clients across the Phoenix area. My responsibilities included budget management, menu planning, and client relations.Driven by a passion for education, I transitioned to a full-time substitute teaching role, where I spent 10 years managing classrooms, creating lesson plans, and collaborating with families to serve children. During this time, I also served on the Arizona PTA Board, leading initiatives in membership management, advocacy, legislative issues, professional board training, and event coordination. Through these efforts, I forged partnerships with businesses, fellow non-profits, legislators and represented Arizona PTA in state-level decision-making which contributed significantly to membership growth in our state. As a National PTA presenter, I developed training curricula on board leadership, advocacy, financial management, and fundraising. Currently, I am a Program Manager with Grand Canyon Education's Canyon Professional Development team, overseeing Thunder Vision, a middle school college and career readiness program. I create curriculum, manage a team of student presenters, and produce content for the CPD Solutions-To-Go platform.My background in event planning, A/V coordination, leadership, and culinary services allows me to bring creativity and meticulous organization to every project.
