As a lifelong Southern Ohio and Eastern Kentucky resident, I have dedicated the past 17 years to serving as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in my community. My professional journey has equipped me with diverse experiences across various settings, emphasizing older adult and senior care, particularly in skilled nursing and long-term care environments.I am proud to serve as the Director of Rehabilitation at South Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation with Reliant Rehabilitation and Bluegrass Consulting Group. My passion lies in dementia education and training for caregivers, ensuring they have the tools to provide the best possible care. I am committed to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest trends in occupational therapy, and I am currently pursuing my Master's in Occupational Therapy at Muskingum University.I am a Champion Level II Therapist on Reliant’s Clinical Advancement Ladder, an initiative that acknowledges therapists with advanced expertise in clinical practice. My specialization is in dementia care. I am also actively pursuing my next advancement toward Mentor Therapist status. Recently, I was honored to be recognized as Reliant Rehabilitation's "Clinicians Who Inspire" for October 2024, where I shared my insights on leadership, team building, the promotion of occupational therapy, and mentorship to fellow therapists within the company.Beyond my professional role, I actively engage in volunteer work within my community, focusing on enriching the lives of the elderly through various activities that foster connection and well-being.
