I really enjoy creating things! I was schooled at home as a child and my mother chose a penmanship curriculum that centered around calligraphic skills. She knew it would appeal to my artistic nature and sure enough it stuck for life. I have been making special things for friends and family ever since. I have wanted to try making a business from my calligraphy for years now and am thrilled to be finally walking out that venture.My handmade clothing developed as a real surprise to me. There was a time in my life when I made just about everything I wore, and helped sew for other family members as well. After some years of that I was kinda burnt out on the whole sewing thing. Not long ago I rediscovered my love for it by recycling adult clothes I found at thrift stores into pretty outfits for my daughter. It's turning into one of my favorite outlets for creativity and now I really love scrounging up fun fabrics and prints and turning someone's discarded item into a desirable one. I am looking forward to continuing to explore this new found amusement. My current kick: fun wrap skirts made from thrifted bedsheets!I am a stay at home mother of three happy children who light up my life. I have a wonderful husband who lets me explore "crazy" ideas like opening an Etsy store! He also works at a distribution warehouse and so will be able to make my larger shipping needs easily handled. YEAH! As a family we like exploring nature, going for drives, making stuff, reading awesome books and vacationing at the BEACH!.We are homeschooling our own children, and working to pass on that love of creativity my mother fostered so well.
