My main roles are to support the international teaching team (Content Writers and Content Editors) within Twinkl and to manage the production process within various country teams. Some of my responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding new Content Writers and Content Editors around the world and working on improvements in quality and efficiency within international production. I also work closely with Phase Managers and Country Managers to identify current and potential blockers and then work with them to overcome these.

My day-to-day role involved editing content produced by writers in the Life (PSHE / Wellbeing) & Inclusion products and also checking any work that the designers created. I worked at both pre and post- design stages and my role meant checking that the resource was 100% ready to go on site without mistakes or errors. Other responsibilities included supporting colleagues with their editing skills and providing opinion on resources that my teams are looking to develop.

After graduating from MMU, I was given a job teaching Year 1 at the school in which I did most of my training. During my time at the school, I taught all subjects within the Primary National Curriculum and also took on the role of PSHE Coordinator. In Year 1, I prepared for and supported other members of staff with the Phonics Screening Test before administering it myself, two years in a row. With the cohorts I was taught, I was able to gain experience of teaching and working with children who had pastoral needs as well as special educational needs, particularly autism.
