As a Schools Volunteer for the Museum of London, it is my responsibility to coordinate our visiting school trips. From a practical perspective, this includes safety briefing for both teachers and students, and keeping multiple trips running on schedule simultaneously. Most importantly however it is my job to ensure that all our young visitors feel welcome in the museum, and that they have a fun, inspiring, and engaging time. This role not only requires a high standard of visitor service and care, but also efficient timekeeping, organisational, and problem solving skills.

The Memories of London Programme aims to improve the well-being of those living with Dementia by encouraging reminiscence and social interaction amongst participants. Through in-house museum tours and outreach sessions in Care Homes and Memory Cafes, we hope to bring London back to life through varied cultural activities. My role involves helping with the set-up and pack-down of sessions, encouraging participation, and generally being a friendly face and a helping hand.
