Advanced Advertising Strategies is a class taken by students during their last semester of college. Class Description:This course will apply advertising principles to an actual advertising campaign. Students will form an advertising agency to create a complete advertising campaign, including situational analysis, segment identification, campaign objectives and strategies, budgeting, and creative strategies. Campaign collateral, including print, broadcast and Internet advertisements, will be developed by the students. The campaign will be pitched to the client in a formal presentation.

Greater Chicago Area

The Episcopal Diocese of Chicago started a summer camp (Camp Chicago) 18 years ago. Camp Chicago provides a safe environment for young people to explore their faith and enjoy traditional camp activities. Camp Chicago includes a staff of counselors, LIT staff, floaters, and an administration staff. The LIT Directors oversee the LIT program under the LIT Supervisor. The LIT program is for youth entering their junior or senior year of high school. The program occurs over the period of two weeks. The purpose of the first week is for the LIT's to bond as a group. LIT's will spend this time away from the camp. Participants will camp out all of the nights that week, cooking their own meals,completing trust activities, and solving complex puzzles as a group. In the second week the LIT's transition into camp. LIT's become cabin and program assistants as they shadow Camp Chicago program staff and counselors in their jobs. The role of the LIT Director is:- To supervise and be responsible for the LIT's- To work with the LIT Supervisor to develop the LIT program- To use team development initiatives to develop the LIT participants as a team - To teach leadership skills to LIT participants and help them grow as leaders- To give them opportunities to learn how to lead, when to follow, and what effective leadership is- To help the LIT's understand the mission and operation of camp- To mentor the LIT's in their spiritual life and using real life experiences to help guide them through the LIT experience
