Puāwai is part of the Leadership in Communities Project and is designed and delivered by a group of facilitators in partnership with Leadership Lab. Post General Election 2020 I was kindly given a new contract in 2021 to continue with the Christchurch Community Engagement team

When my fix term contract ended post General Election 2020 I was kept on as a casual community liaison to ensure relationships and partnerships were strengthened and maintained.

In 2019 my role on the Emerging Leaders' Executive as a Service Coordinator saw a number of continued service projects take place throughout the year. One of the largest events was the Ōtākaro Avon River Estuary Clean, in which around 40 students dedicated a Saturday to removing rubbish (and larger debris) from the mouth of the Avon River which feeds into the Pacific Ocean. This role enabled me to conduct a project called 'East Side Youth: This is our Voice." Where I directed a short film showcasing over 50 young people's views on the eastern suburbs of Christchurch since the earthquakes.
