Over the past several years, I have taken a deep dive into the field of solar in Maine. My particular focus areas include: grid flexibility in the renewable energy transition, interconnection of solar, financial modeling for solar ownership, community-driven and responsible solar siting, and increasing access to solar ownership benefits. Through my position with A Climate to Thrive (ACTT), I have had the opportunity to write grants for municipalities as they develop clean energy projects, cultivate community support and understanding around the energy transition, and advocate at the local and state levels for renewable energy policies that benefit all community members. I am leading ACTT's collaboration with Sandia National Labs (SNL) through the DOE's Energy Transition Initiative Partnership Project (ETIPP), which will ultimately result in a Resilience Node Analytics Tool report for Mount Desert Island and training from SNL in the Microgrid Design Toolkit.
