In my role as the Executive Director of the Davidson Lands Conservancy I drive the execution of our mission to conserve local lands and natural resources, connect lives to nature, and promote a conservation ethic. We advance this mission through engagement, education, conservation and outreach aligned to our four pillars: land conservation and stewardship; greenways and trails; urban forestry and wildlife habitat.Over my 18 years working in sustainability I created Bank of America's My Environment® employee program which now has more than 26,000 members globally. I developed the banks strategy to reach 100% renewable electricity, to achieve and maintain carbon neutrality in operations and the strategy to pursue Net Zero. Prior to joining the bank, I worked at the Quaintance-Weaver Hospitality Company which developed the world’s first LEED® Platinum hotel, Proximity Hotel.I have a Master’s degree in Humanities with a focus in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Marketing/Merchandising; both from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am currently pursuing my Native Plant Certificate from UNC Charlotte Botanical Garden to further knowledge of native plants and gardening. I am passionate about social and environmental issues and seek to engage others to drive change.
