• Taught Communications 1010, Speech 1060, English 1020, Education 1010, and Critical Thinking courses, designed to enlighten students on the foundations of communication, effective speaking, English composition, effective studying and learning skills, and the foundations, ethics, and significance of observation, evaluation, logic, and argument in critical thinking •Developed curriculum: Created lesson plans, activities, graphic organizers, and presentations. •Taught Career Focus 101 & 102: Introduced students to effective studying, test taking, goal setting, time management, conflict management, and financial management. Provided guidelines for constructing resumes, cover letters, and follow-up correspondence.•Taught Communication 101: Familiarized students with role of communication. Taught students to recognize misconceptions about communication and to describe and apply characteristics of effective communicators. Explored and developed interpersonal skills and defined features of group communication.•Taught English 101 & 102: Trained students to develop thesis statements, collect supporting materials, organize ideas, and use vivid, appropriate language. Incorporated autobiographical, persuasive, descriptive, and argumentative writing with a focus on Standard Written English.• Nominated for Golden Apple Award (teacher of the year)
