Within this role, I have many different tasks within the pharmacy. These would include dispensing medication from scripts that we would receive, dispensing weekly dosette boxes for patients, handing out prescriptions to the public and also advising and selling medication to the general public. Alongside all of this there was a lot of admin that has seen me develop my medical knowledge and also further my computer skills. I would have to print electronic scripts, order the correct stock for the prescriptions and then also transfer the medical abbreviations to the correct medical terms for the labels. This role has also helped me develop the skill of being able to correctly and confidently handle many different tasks and different patients. This is due to sometime have to query problems that patients may have or any problems that we may have with the patients prescriptions.

Ive completed several freelancing events (weddings, proms, facepainting) throughout the years which has given me plenty of experience of being given strict instructions to follow whilst on a budget and under time constraints. Its taught me how to be organised and work to the best of my ability under these tight and challenging situations. Additionally, I have gained further knowledge in make-up and hair which I have been able to now transfer into different situations.

As part of this job I was a Sales Advisor in jewelry, this meant that I had many differentresponsibilities that mainly involve interacting with customers and therefor having to hittargets in my selling. This means having an average transaction target, an items pertransaction target and a whole day selling target. From this it has given me lots of differentways in how is best to approach customers and to get in link sales. Additionally, this hasgiven me much more confidence in trying to upsale and make sure I hit my targets.

I did work experience on this counter in Boots, where I learnt what it was like to work on a make-up counter and interacting with customers who were specific in what they were after. I also gained experience from applying products to customers and learnt about how the best way is to be around a client.
