Energise Barnsley is a social enterprise working with Barnsley Council and Berneslai Homes to bring renewable technology into local homes and schools. Energise Barnsley raises the funds for these projects, coordinates the delivery, and manages the assets post-delivery to ensure the residents continue to utilise their renewable technology as efficiently as possible.

Gen Community Ventures (GCV) scales low carbon projects, allowing residents financial savings on their energy bills, whilst reducing carbon emissions (www.gen-community.co.uk)GCV has created two community benefit societies - Energise Barnsley (www.energisebarnsley.co.uk) working with local councils and housing associations in Yorkshire, and Egni Sir Gar working with the Carmarthen County Council.

Supporting accelerator programmes, helping low carbon and clean-tech SMEs to innovate, develop and deliver new products and services through collaborative research and development projects. The programme provides SMEs access to academic expertise, industry partners, workshops and technical facilities at London South Bank University (LSBU).

My role at Shift Design focused on coordinating nationwide pilots, product launches, and multi-stakeholder relationships, including post-launch evaluation and iterative service design. It has also led me to taking an active role in user research.Project management- Successfully delivered 2 product pilots with 3 delivery partners to thousands of young beta-testers across England for the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme- Arranged programme visits for colleagues, external evaluators and NCS Trust stakeholders- Responsible for project ceremonies and reporting rhythms to Shift Design teams and stakeholders- Evaluated product impact and contributed to the design and iteration process.- Supported the launch of parenting app, Tip, in partnership with National Childbirth Trust (NCT)- Created and executed the marketing plan- Liaised with NCT practitioners to ensure the smooth transition for new sign-ups and posts to the platformUser research- Scheduled and conducted over 80 interviews with students and university well-being professionals about Further Education mental health services- Planned and supported the facilitation of multiple co-creation workshops and user consultation sessions for NCT, Gingerbread and NCS

• Coordinated across the Foundation to deliver effective grants admin, high quality financial processing and analysis and the implementation of appropriate operational systems and procedures, supporting the smooth running of the organisation. • Achieved timely processing of funding agreements, monitoring reports and grant payments in liaison with the Programme Director. Assisting with the preparation of the annual independent audit. • Managed relationships with key stakeholders and providing prospective grantees with appropriate information and support to enable them to determine if Youth Music funding is appropriate for their project. • Performed financial administrative duties to ensure the efficient and effective processing of grant payments, invoices, credit cards, and expenses in liaison with Directors and external accountants.• Acted as the main contact for all suppliers as well as responding to reconciliation queries from external accountants to ensure that the monthly management accounts are accurate and produced on time.• Reconciliation and handling of donor details and income via Raiser’s Edge producing monthly reports on all income generation in liaison with the Development Director.• Chair of the organisation’s Values Committee and lead member of the Innovation Funding panel to ensure organisational values are lived out.

• Coordinated the logistical and inclusive aspects of the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme across England• Interview scheduling and candidate registration; conducting interviews, screening over telephone and in person with a wide-range of external stakeholders such as social workers, parents, and youth offending teams to detail the support needs of participants• Collaborated internally to inform programme leaders and mentors of each young person’s support needs and ensuring plans were in place to meet these needs• Assisted with training of new staff, volunteers, and young people

• Supported adults with learning difficulties and physical disabilities to live independently.• Organised appropriate activities, day trips and holidays, whilst taking into consideration necessary adjustments in communication and physical abilities.• Implemented care plans, numerous administrative duties, and undertook annual reviews. • Worked closely with many external organisations and stakeholders such as support workers, medical and educational professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure consistency of support.• Undertook training in: Safeguarding Vulnerable People, Mental Capacity Act, Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Dementia, Manual Handling, Fire Safety, Food Safety.

• Marketing and fundraising for a social and environmental investment company to raise awareness of Gen Community’s mission: to reduce fuel poverty and carbon emissions.• Managed membership data and accurately maintained the financial records.• Organised and implemented competitions across schools to engage and educate pupils about renewable energy.• Maintained and edited Gen Community web content via their website.• Produced and edited marketing materials, promotional literature, and share-offer brochures for the organisation as well as marketing them to potential investors. • Set up and managed social media pages, newsletters, and email campaigns. Analysed marketing campaign results to improve strategy and communication channels.
