At We Hear You, we create accessible technology to help increase the quality of life for individuals who are not usually at the forefront of innovation. We currently have to inventions. The first invention is a two-way sign language translation software that is able to turn ASL into English through hand recognition and then translate speech back into ASL. The second invention is a device that turns accessible doors into automatic doors with the press of your personal button.

Director of Residential Living & Student Conduct

As program coordinator, I organize symposiums and seminars for the Gies College of BusinessManage, oversee finances for Office of Risk Management and Insurance Research as well as the Center for Business and Public Policy. Additionally, I assist in the creation and implementation of the strategic plan for the Office of Risk Management and Insurance Research, work with the Sponsored Programs Administration to acquire and administer grant funding, and provide assistance to faculty and staff in general everyday work.

As supervisor, my role is to motivate and monitor approximately 30 co-workers performance in the work place. Additionally, I calculate and prepare money totals for each night in preparation for the next day. As an employee I prepare food and work with the production side of a restaurant. I demonstrate the skills to communicate with customers and handle any issues to ensure a pleasant experience

I oversaw a board of 12-15 Resident Advisors across campus and, as a group, identified pressing issues within the organization. We then proposed and executed changes to continue to make Residential Living of Bradley University a better place to work.

As a hall director, I supervised 17 Resident Advisors and over 350 freshman residents. I coordinated recruiting events, conducted interviews, reviewed applications, hired, and supervised Resident Advisors (RAs) staffing every semester. Additionally, I comprised weekly reports and conducted semester evaluations of RAs, held referral meetings with residents in violation of Residential Living Policy and counseled them regarding campus options, and organized and implemented weekly/monthly programs for students. I connected with students and staff in a mentor/mentee role in order to ensure the highest chances of success for these students.

My role in this committee was to represent Student Activities in a meeting held by Vice President of Student Affairs of Bradley University. I worked to consult with the Vice President of Student Affairs alongside 14 other student leaders to discuss strategic planning for Bradley University.

As a Resident Advisor (RA), I co-managed a floor of 40 residents, comprised daily reports of occurrences, counseled and encouraged residents when guidance was needed, and enforced policies and regulations to ensure a safe and comfortable environment within the dormitories.

I gathered student preferences for movies they would like brought to campus and research those movies.I would then strategically schedule movies so as not to interfere with other big events and to ensure high attendance. Following the contracting of these movies, I would proceed to market, host, and run movies with an attendance of 200-300 students, and an overall yearly attendance of around 3,000. At each movie I provided concessions and took complete inventory at the end of each night. Cinema on campus provides free and fun entertainment for all Bradley students.

As Vice President of Tradition Programs, I oversaw programs put on by the committees as follows: Homecoming Committee, Featured Entertainment Committee, and Cinema Committee. I helped supervise most activities brought to campus including concerts such as Macklemore and Bastille, the entirety of Homecoming Week, and the many cinematic events brought to campus throughout the semester. My primary role was to interview and hire all potential candidates, motivate and lead a board of 14 students, organize and aid in running meetings, and continuously recruit throughout the semester.
