PIP was a project engineered under the Joint WebCOP development effort that could subscribe to topics on one or more Army PASS Servers, process each message that was received, and make the data contained within the message available to client applications such as the Joint WebCOP via Web Map Services (WMS) and Web Feature Services (WFS). Developed a PASS Plug-In extension to the Joint WebCOP system that integrated map imagery and data provided by the PASS Provider application into the Joint WebCOP Battlespace environment. The PASS Plug-In was comprised of map imagery (layers) and feature data, Table of Contents (TOC) entries, and PASS Plug-In-specific context menus. The PASS Plug-In communicated with the PASS Provider via WMS and WFS protocols, using Styled Layer Descriptor (SLD) documents. Responsible for the redesign and implementation of the PASS Provider Administration Toolkit, which utilized the Apache Struts Framework, enabling the application to more closely utilize the MVC architecture.
