I qualified as an employment solicitor on the 15th September 2006. I studied part time whilst working at Hugh James Solicitors. I have specialised in employment law since 1999.I have experience in advising both employers and employees on all aspects of employment law including TUPE transfers, sickness absence, disciplinary and grievances, discrimination, dismissals, Settlement Agreements and representing clients at the Employment Tribunal. I also have experience dealing with Trade Unions.My day-to-day work encompasses the following:Advising and representing businesses at Employment Tribunals and I regularly deliver seminars and training sessions. I enjoy the HR aspect of my role advising many companies with their employment and HR issues, giving her a wide range of experience and knowledge of different industries.I have assisted companies with issues involving long term sickness absences, all manners of discrimination, dismissals, advising and assisting with disciplinary and grievance procedures. A number of my clients have a Trade Union presence and therefore I have experience in dealing with unions. I also have experience in dealing with the care sector and the additional safeguarding issues that are entailed.In additional to advising businesses, I also advise and represent individuals with Settlement Agreements and Employment Tribunals.
