As an experienced educator, I am deeply committed to making curriculum relevant and engaging for my students, constantly seeking innovative ways to connect learning to real-world issues and challenges. I am adept at researching and problem-solving, and I take pride in designing standards-based lesson plans that foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills.In addition to my skills as an educator, I bring a wealth of other strengths to the table. I am an excellent communicator, with the ability to convey complex concepts and listen attentively to others. I remain composed under pressure and am skilled at assessing performance, developing interventions, and making data-informed decisions. I am also a problem-solver, with a talent for coordinating and adapting my actions in the moment. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience in design thinking, onboarding and training of staff, customer service, lending, management, and procedure development, and I have collaborated with local-, regional-, and state-level committees.In my community, I am an active member and have served as Secretary for the Spring Creek Community Association since 2013. Through this role, I have contributed to the preservation of Spring Creek Hall as an historic venue for community and family events, fostering a sense of connection and belonging.When I'm not working I love to explore the outdoors with my husband, Lee, and our standard poodle, Stella. Whether we're gardening, exploring the backcountry, or taking a road trip, we cherish the opportunities for learning, growth, and reflection that these experiences provide.
