About Bethany Bull

I love getting to know audiences and then generating loads of coverage and creating click-worthy content to suit them. I make things count by taking an evidence-based approach to work. My experience lies within arts and culture, including covetable positions at Tate, the RCA, and Sheffield Museums. I'm proud to work with artists, designers, researchers, innovators and businesses who provoke conversations and spark inspiration. One of the best things about my career is being part of truly creative and insightful communication and marketing teams. At Sheffield Museums I work with colleagues across the organisation and beyond to develop a programme of compelling online content that has people’s stories, and our fantastic city, at its heart.

  • Royal College Of Art
    Campaigns Manager
Royal College Of Art Oct 2019 - Jun 2022
I created stand-out, strategic communications campaigns for the RCA that took a 360 approach to brand story-telling.Day to day, this involved capturing the imagination of the press – to get our stories to as wide an audience as possible – and being responsible for creating rafts of click-worthy content across RCA channels. My ultimate goal on any given project was to reach the people that matter, both internally and externally, with stories about the RCA that resonated.Recent project highlights included: RCA2020 (the RCA’s first ever, online only, graduate exhibition – there were headlines), Virgil Abloh joined the RCA as Visiting Professor (this was our first ever social-media first campaign and it genuinely created international excitement). One of the best things about working in the Communications & Marketing department at the RCA was that creativity is highly valued and an innovative approach to communications was positively encouraged.

I worked with Director of Communications to respond to issues and crises relating to the RCA quickly and effectively, and I provided communications counsel and advice to internal stakeholders.I was promoted into the role of Campaigns Manager, from Press Officer, as I demonstrated a strategic approach and delivered multi-channel narratives.
