Throughout my education and career in libraries, I have developed strong analytical, structuring, and editing skills. Despite my love of the library and its role in the community, I am transitioning to a career that provides greater latitude for creative, solution-driven problem-solving. I am eager to gain experience as a software engineer to challenge myself and apply a new skillset in a fast-paced industryWhile pursuing my education and working in my previous field I have:- Executed events at a variety of locations, including online, while in the roles of Secretary and President for the ESA. This included delegating details, contacting individuals, and setting up spaces.- Managed the social media campaign #writerwednesday (2019-2020) highlighting diverse Canadian authors; including researching, analyzing and reframing information.- Aided in the workflow of my library, including being consulted on ideas beyond my job's scope such as training requirements for my position and decisions regarding library layout and organization.- Maintained the drive and organization to balance these activities along with constantly strong grades, earning the Dean's Medal upon graduation.When not working I love learning about the spaces where textiles and technology meet (there are more than you might expect!)Skills: web design, CSS, HTML, Javascript, React, Node.js
