• Optimize testing methods and overall IQ performance by ensuring a smooth integration of tested data into the rest of the print system (pens, printer, media, etc.)• Coordinate with engineers and chemists to quickly get ‘up to speed’ on understanding and processing Writing Systems data• Create Engineering Test Requests (ETRs) for ink Rev testing as well as smaller accelerated ‘spot’ and disaster checks, ensure all testing supplies and support are available, organize and prioritize testing schedules, and address issues that arise during the testing process• Make decisions on test candidates through the consolidation of data and collective insights from the team, ultimately allowing the team to make an optimal decision• Analyze plots and present data for weekly meetings with other engineers and chemists• Lead weekly meetings managing of technicians and resources• Train lab technicians to have an active interest in understanding and integrating new plots; encourage an ownership for increased levels of documentation at the tech level • Integrate test plots and methodologies (color ramps, durability) from other sites (Barcelona, San Diego) into testing lineup with on-site tools and procedures

• Performs complex engineering testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling and independent troubleshooting based on the scientific method and engineer plans• Develops and improves existing testing technologies, methods, approaches and execution as provided by and coordinated with the experiment engineer• Responsible for operating equipment for testing, data collection, and result reporting with notes and regular comments on irregularities during the testing process• Reads and understands basic engineering schematics, documentation, and coding• Designs and configures test setups and instrumentation as required ensuring accuracy and consistency of data results through coordination, analysis and documentation with engineers and other technicians • Performs basic repair and maintenance in conjunction with laboratory assigned maintenance technicians and relevant schematics and instructions

● Independently create a comprehensive GIS map of the seafloor for 2 square miles around the Titanic shipwreck site integrating photos and video taken by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, including the original exploration (1985, 1986) and a subsequent expedition (2010) using ArcMap 10.2● Co-create a search methodology for deeply submerged WWII shipwrecks in the South Pacific with Bill Lange (head of AIVL laboratory, WHOI) and Dave Conlin (head of Submerged Resources Center, National Park Service) using ArcMap and ArcScene 10.2● Edit grant proposals and scientific television show pitches focused on submerged archaeological sites, enigmatic megafauna, coral reefs, deep sea benthic organisms, and other underwater resources● Scan and identify 35mm film reels, superslides, and individual 35mm slides for insertion into Titanic map● Correctly place images with disparate coordinate systems and missing xyz data on the Titanic basemap by interpolating between images and photo mosaics with known coordinates● Edit and create Powerpoint presentations for presentation to donors, scientists, and other research institutions● Assist and lead (as appropriate) a wide variety of scientists, independent contractors, engineers, videographers, editors, divers, and summer students to get projects up and running● Coordinate shipping, ordering, returns, repair requests and receipts for the Advanced Imaging and Visualization Laboratory

● Work on a 24 foot Carolina Skiff at a year round oyster farm, interacting with other oystermen, clients, and the general public● Create GIS and Adobe Illustrator maps of oyster harvest sites, standardizing farm harvest procedures● Update catch records to SAFIS database for Commonwealth and Federal harvest requirements● Independently manage winter harvest operations; supervise and train other employees in standardized procedures

● Teach one day introduction to faunal analysis course to summer field school students (May - June 2007, 2008, 2011)● Perform official faunal analysis, including fish identification by otoliths and scales (2007, 2008, 2011)● Supervise a multi-week independent archeological site excavation plan to collect spatial and material data with undergraduate students (2008, 2011)● Teach Total Station, compass and GPS use in short range and long range surveys to undergraduate and graduate students● Assist Dr. Howey in excavations at an Early Woodland (600-800 AD) archaeological site (2006-2007)● Teach basic archeological field methodologies including searching for archeological features, artifact location and identification, faunal analysis, creating site records, and stewardship principles to students of varying ages, tribal elders, and tribal student groups● Teach and perform laboratory work methodologies to students and visitors (flotation processing and artifact cleaning, identification, organization, and final data entry to university archival standards)

● Assist in shovel test, ground-penetrating radar (GPR), and Resistivity surveys to define historic features ● Catalog cultural, geological, and botanical samples from national parks across the southeast region using the National Park Service (NPS) software ReDiscovery ICMS – over 36,000 objects in FY 2010● Prepare outgoing archeological and archival materials for transport to other institutions and parks by compiling requested loan materials and verifying the accuracy of inventory contents prior to shipping● Organize material for return to tribal groups according to NAGPRA federal law and policy standards● Train other museum lab technicians to identify, catalog, number, and archive artifacts to NPS standard● Ensures development and implementation of required museum collection programs and plans in compliance with the NPS museum property accountability rules and procedures● Cooperates with and assists other units to address museum collections management issues● Perform sample checks on collections, determine error ratings in identifications, and write reports● Check in collections from outstanding loans (over 50,000 artifacts checked in for FY2010) by unpacking them and comparing box contents against the inventory list, and documenting missing artifacts● Assist in annual inventory checks by locating and checking in a randomly selected sample of artifacts● Act as a liaison and act as a representative for SEAC and NPS at public festivals and archeological digs● Photograph artifacts for submission to NPS photo database and maps for conservation● Clean storage areas (5000 sq. ft.), and assist in conservation of delicate artifacts
