Currently working as a Graduate Airframe Engineer at BAE Systems Air.Associate Member of the IMechE.MEng Aeronautics & Astronautics: Materials & Structures graduate from the University of Southampton. Practical engineering experience gained through an Industrial Placement Year at BAE Systems Air; a summer role at a local engineering firm; and through personal projects, including building a working model steam engine from a set of castings. Strong engineering background due to lifelong involvement with heritage vehicles, which has also nurtured a keen interest in history.Given the ongoing climate breakdown, the development of sustainable materials, processes, and energy sources across all sectors are of particular interest; being involved in making the aerospace industry more sustainable and inclusive for the benefit of all is a priority.Greater engagement by the aero industry, as well as the wider engineering community, with currently under-represented groups (particularly women and girls) is also of significant personal importance.
