My name is Bethany Jensen. My first job was a lifeguard at Cherry Hill in 2021. To qualify for this position, I had to become certified in water safety as well as CPR and First Aid. I learned to work with a team to help monitor the safety of patrons. I choose to be a lifeguard because I love being outside and wanted to learn valuable skills such as first aid that I could take with me later in life. Right now I work a Kiosk for Thread which has taught me customer service skills. My other love in life is animals. I have been around pets for my whole life and have always felt that connection with them. For this reason I hope to use this passion in my future career. I want to major in Animals Science at Utah State and use what I have learned to benefit the life of our furry friends along with our relationship with them. Because this major is so broad, I can use it to work with domestic animals in a clinical setting or exotic animals in a zoo. I am still discovering what specific path I want to take in this industry but am excited for what the future holds.
