Representing the University at a range of events including higher education fairs, campus tours, open days, pop-up shops and outdoor events.This role allowed me to talk to prospective students from a students point of view offering them practical advice and acting as a role-model for the institute of Education at the University.

Working in a diverse year 3 class was a great experience I was able to work closely with both EAL and SEN children exploring more barriers to learning and able to use my research to provide appropriate interventions to increase pupil attainment.Building a rapport with the children on an individual basis was the highlight of this experience as I was able to have a daily reminder of why I have chosen this career!Consolidating all my learning across my three years of university was great to reflect upon as I supported pupils attainment, provided pastoral support, enriched learning experience and provided the children with a positive role model.

For the first time I worked in not only a mixed age class, but a mixed key stage. Working with years 2 and 3 was the most enjoyable experience.This school provided me with many opportunities to develop my skills through staff meeting and CPD sessions including: Maths mastery, subject leadership, creative teaching, autism, assessment for learning, physical education and writing moderation.As well as covering all the curriculum content I was able to explore my Modern foreign languages specialism further by teaching different ages and helping with French club.Similarly I was able to explore my passions in education which are religious education and citizenship, growth mindset and reading for pleasure which I was able to hold carousel activities and share my love for these topics with the children.

I worked as a support worker for autistic teenagers.My roles included; administering personal care, supporting them in the public and providing them with fun and stimulating activities to suit their individual needs.Alongside these roles I completed the team teach training in physical intervention to allow me to complete the interventions safely and appropriately.

This was the first school I worked in as part of my Primary education course.Teaching in a year 6 class was a challenge, as I found myself to be not much older than the kids myself! But it was a challenge I embraced and thrived as a result.Exploring all areas of the curriculum, building a rapport with the children, parents and other teachers really set me up for the next three years of my course.I attended many different courses and staff meetings and one I was particularly inspired by was the autism in education training.From this course I have paid extra attention to many barriers to learning and promote inclusion through all of my lessons.
