Community organizing, advocacy for reproductive justice

Applicable Experience:Organized several successful events including the Kansas City LGBTQ and Allies Wedding Fair which was a multi-state initiativeFocus Areas:Development and teaching of adult education classes and youth Sunday School; scheduling and training of volunteers; led workshops at local colleges and organizations on diversity and inclusion, supported and coordinated volunteers; lead LGBTQ outreach in the Kansas City area; lead “tween and teen” youth group; worked on events with local non-profits like Planned Parenthood and the KC LBGTQ Center; wrote and preached sermons regularly; provided pastoral care to congregation members; assisted with planning of weekly worship; updated social media; designed and updated the church’s website; assisted with other aspects of ministry as needed.
