About Bethany Pankhurst
I have a keen interest in understanding how NSW Government can responsibly collect, store and use data to improve the daily lives of citizens. I am also interested in maturing the way Government approaches data sharing, privacy and cybersecurity.At present, I am the Smart Places Innovation Lead with the NSW Smart Places team and manage the delivery of the Smart City Innovation Challenge. Prior to this role, I led the delivery of 28 Digital Restart Fund initiatives across NSW under the Smart Places Acceleration Program. I also have experience as a Senior Privacy Advisor, providing privacy assurance to Project and Product teams on programs encompassing the likes of digital identity and biometrics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, technical architecture and storage systems.
