I work independently to georeference historic maps in ArcGIS Pro and create data for further analysis. Analyze change over time through meaningful symbology, charts, graphs, and layouts. Record and present methods to research lead.

Collect tree samples, soil condition data, and drone imagery on sampling days at University of Maryland Baltimore Campus. Georeference approximately 110 images from each collection day in RStudio and ArcGIS Pro. Perform conditional and analytical corrections to images in RStudio. Collaborate with fellow research assistants and advisor.

I collect water and sediment samples at 6 locations on the Anacostia River each month. I then process these samples for approximately 25 hours each including extraction, saponification, and hexane + toluene washes. These washes render PAHs and Alkanes that are analyzed through our gas chromatography mass spectrometer.

Two days each week I worked one on one with 3 students to improve their reading and comprehension skills using an Americorps based curriculum.
