Responsible for the investigation, evaluation, disposition and settlement of the most complex claims as well as the highest exposures. Investigate, evaluate, and determine coverage of liability as well as damages. Set the proper reserves. Exercise proper decision, making sure to analyze the claims exposure, to determine the proper course of action, and to appropriately settle the claim. Member of the claims department for Allstate, handling injury claims from investigation through settlement. The claims that I am trained to handle can range from minor soft-tissue through major injuries and claims involving fatalities. Additionally, as a member of the Casualty Represented and Litigation department, I work closely with retained and house counsel to bring claims to settlement resolution, including through trial and mediation. As a claims adjuster at AAA-NCNU, I managed a claims case load from first notice of loss through subrogation recovery (or property damage payout). This included taking the FNOL directly, taking all recorded statements, obtaining the police report, reviewing scene and damage photographs, and finalizing liability determination. Also worked with the auto damage appraisers, to ensure that appropriate payment wass made for related damage, and prepared claim file for subrogation recovery.

Position included taking recorded statements, reviewing evidence, and identifying issues for further investigation by SIU.In June 2004, transitioned to auto dept, responsible for review of auto damage estimates submitted by insureds and claimants. Work directly with shops to confirm related damages, negotiate the cost of repairs, and confirm that the vehicle is restored to pre-loss condition. Worked on special project to draft professional claims correspondence to be used throughout the department, and across the country.In May 2006, promoted to estimating supervisor. Direct management of 6-9 adjusters. Responsible for coaching, training, and support of representatives to review demands for payment from other insurance carriers, as well as review of estimates for non-inspected vehicles up to $3500. Approved payments above the representatives' authority.In June 2009, transferred to lateral position Special Senior Claims Adjuster. Member of claims team taking ownership of the claims department and setting process for integration of 21st Century Insurance claims after purchase of competitor. Licensed in all 50 states to resolve auto claims.
