As of June 2016 I became the Network Laboratory Safety Officer, responsible for ensuring the safety of 150+ laboratory employees. I ensure all policies and current practices are within regulation and properly observed and documented. I educate staff on current and new safety protocols and techniques. Late 2016, I lead the team who taught all laboratory personnel hands-only CPR. Within 3 months, we obtained 100% participation.

Core Laboratory

Performed all waived, moderate, and high complexity testing on clinical specimens in the ED and Core Laboratories, and STAT waived tests in Microbiology and Immunology. Maintained, troubleshot, and calibrated analyzers. Perform quality controls and proficiency testing. Communicated regularly with other health care professionals regarding procedures and results. Worked as a team with multiple departments throughout the network to provide accurate results in a timely manner. Additionally, I collaborated with Managers, Resource Techs, and Coordinators to evaluate and implement new methodologies and platforms within the laboratory. Aided Laboratory Managers on equipment decisions across all campuses. Participated in a Lean A3 events to optimize central processing workflow. As Charge Technologist, I handled all emergent issues that arising within the laboratory and from clients after hours. As of June 2016 I became the Network Laboratory Safety Officer.
