• Provided behavioral sleep intervention in an integrated care setting for children age 3 months to 18 years with a variety of organic and behavioral sleep disorders including behavioral insomnia of childhood, psychophysiological insomnia, inadequate sleep hygiene, circadian sleep-wake disorder, obstructive sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, and parasomnias • Conducted comprehensive assessments of children’s sleep problems to determine whether presenting sleep problems were due to primary medical or primarily behavioral causes• Gained experience working with highly diverse populations, including ethnically and socioeconomically diverse families, families who utilized the services of a medical translator, and families with complex medical histories (e.g. Trisomy 21, leukemia, epilepsy, precocious puberty)

Provided evidence-based group behavioral parent training to parents of school-aged children with a diagnosis of ADHD in a co-therapy setting with Dr. Tom Power. Groups included a 4-week introductory course (ADHD Boot Camp) and 9-week in-depth intervention (Family School Success)

Individual Cognitive Behavioral therapy extern with the Child & Adolescent OCD, Tic, Trich & Anxiety Group (COTTAGe). Experience in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Coping Cat Protocol for childhood anxiety, and Habit Reversal Training (HRT) for Trich and Tics.

Full time 2-year research fellowship performing neuroimaging, genetic, and clinical studies as wells as administrative tasks alongside Dr. W. Philip Shaw. Research activities included recruiting and screening participants, patient interaction, sitting in on diagnostic interviews with parents and children, assessment of typical or atypical development (movement disorders) neuropsychological testing (WASI), scoring measures, data entry, conducting Magnetoencephalography (MEG) scans, conducting fMRI scans, de-skulling brains using Medical Image Processing and Visualization (MIPAV) and Display software, and running brains through a Diffusion Tensor Imaging processor, Analyzing MEG Data

Assisted in classroom activities in the young three year olds classroom, observed developmental milestones in young children, provided support to teachers and children.

Worked with children age 4-14 with a variety of disorders including PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Suicidal Ideation, Severe Anxiety, Antisocial Personality Disorder, Autism and other Pervasive Developmental Disorders, etc. Responsibilities included assisting in emotions groups and family groups, assisting in music therapy, attending team meetings, assisting with dinner and shower time, and providing support to the children during free time.

Provided free tutoring and assistance to the underprivileged youth of New Haven, CT. Worked with parents and their children to foster a productive learning environment. Taught children basic reading, writing, math and science. Acted as a counselor for the children, many of whom come from broken families.

Worked with students in the ASAT program and assisting them in planning and completing daily task as well as managing their symptoms and mastering independent living skills.

Worked with staff and children and learned about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children with oppositional, aggressive, or antisocial behavior at Dr. Alan Kazdin's Clinic. Completed administrative tasks. Participated in research activities (assessment, scoring, data collection). Followed cases to see the treatment approaches, and assessed the efficacy of these treatments.
