I have recently graduated university with 2.1 BA Hons degree in working with children, young people, and families at Birmingham City University. During university, I have learned about policies and legislation and completed modules around education, social work, continued professional development, effective collaborative practice, and research. During my time at university, I have been a course rep and got both my bronze and silver graduate plus awards by completing extra circular activities which will help my professional growth. I am now beginning my studies at Newman university studying a Masters's degree in psychology. I would like to in the future work in the education setting in supporting young people with psychological needs. I have experience helping with teaching after doing placements in two schools helping children with additional needs. As well as volunteering at my dance school to help teach the younger children. I enjoy baking in my spare time or in times when I am, feeling stressed as I feel it is a way for me to calm down. I also enjoy volunteering and charity work, some of the work I have done is Birmingham sleep out where I raised money and slept on the streets for one night, I have also raised money for the little princess trust by getting sponsorship payments and cutting 14inchs of hair which I then donated. I am currently working part-time in a local fish and chip shop, which has taught me many key skills such as communication, timekeeping, problem-solving skills, and teamworking. As well as the qualifications I have gained through school, college, and university I also have my level 2 food hygiene, ZSA Suicide awareness training, Office 365 for End users and British sign language diploma.
