I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2019. I have my clinical license (LCSW-C) in both Maryland and Hawaii. I have worked in many different settings during my time in clinical practice such as inpatient settings, group practice, schools, and community mental health. The focus of my career has been treating complex trauma with survivors of sexual violence and interpersonal violence. During my work with survivors of trauma, I found a love for working specifically with those survivors struggling with anxiety, which has led me to my work today. In September 2022 I launched my private Practice, Grounded Roots Therapy and Consulting. In my clinical work today, in private practice, I now specialize in working together with folks struggling with anxiety, to reclaim their lives through mindfulness and values based work. I believe in healing through collaborative work between the therapist and client, as though the therapist may be the expert in mental health, the client is the true expert in their own life. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
