I’m a dynamic work in progress. As a teenager, my inner nerd devoured page-turning thrillers and wrote poetry and short stories. My alter ego, the Head Cheerleader, practiced tumbling and cheering with my BFF on my parent's front lawn. No matter what I was doing, 90s music drifted from my boombox. I reveled in math and aspired to be a New York Times best-selling author, but I never expected to encounter so many career paths.A former business manager, I now manage/edit/write internet content. Content and editorial calendars may sound dull, but they are my favorite projects. I enjoy brainstorming ideas, advertising campaigns, fun themes, and leading product launches, but organization is key. 2) Team-Building - I always listen to my team - they often propose inspirational concepts! Your team is also a valuable resource for making small changes toward progression. Whether as a Veterinary Practice Manager or Content Manager for a website, actively listening to team members has invariably resulted in higher-performing teams. 3) Content Marketing - I challenge myself (and others) to think outside the box. High-quality content requires more than well-researched, copy-edited, and proofread articles or blog posts on a website. Tell a captivating story that resonates with the reader from a unique perspective. Research exhaustively. Test A LOT. Connect, engage, convert.4) Web Analytics - Math, numbers, and statistics always intrigued me. Playing with numbers (financials, payroll, taxes) lit my inner spark as a business manager. More recently, measuring, analyzing, and documenting the performance of content assets fulfilled my fascination for numbers in an industry that focuses more on creativity and words.
