The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s®. As the Walk to End Alzheimer's Manager, formerly Sr. special Events Coordinator, I manage our largest revenue generating events for the chapter including the Triangle Walk to End Alzheimer's and Rivalz (Blondes vs. Brunettes Raleigh). Experience with cultivating relationships, engaging corporate initiatives through community fundraising and education programs. I serve as the Communications lead for our chapter, managing all social media accounts, weekly newsletters, website and media inquiries.

Founded in 2009 at Duke University, the Center for Metamaterials and Integrated Plasmonics (CMIP) consists of a group of researchers dedicated to the exploration of artificially structured materials and their potential impact across a broad range of technologies. My role as Associate Director, coordinated and organized conferences, workshops, required program reviews with sponsored agencies, receptions, and industry meetings. I was the primary contact for media relations; maintained Center website, social media, recurring newsletter distribution and promotions. I was the project manager for sponsored research programs, managed discretionary accounts, monthly reporting, reconciliation of expenditures and budget management.I served as a member of Duke’s Special Event Planners Council and Academic Event Professional (AEP) conferences, serving on the social media planning committee.

NSAC/AAF 2007 Advertising Competition. Correspondent in creating a fully integrated marketing campaign designed to increase consumption of Coca-Cola Classic by 3% in the 13-24 market. As appointed Primary Research Account Executive, responsibilities included the construction of qualitative and quantitative surveys, focus group moderator, research analysis of over 680 surveys returned, public relations, creative executions and promotions.
