•Establishing literature reviews, policy papers, opinion articles, and research projects, on a number of policy topics utilizing different theoretical frameworks and gendered theories when researching and writing, such as intersectional gender-based analysis, harm-reduction, and anti-racism •Assists Program and Policy Officers across the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) in key areas (e.g. regulatory affairs; Cabinet affairs; strategic policy) responsible for doing Gender Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) analysis by providing support, advice, and credible sources of qualitative and quantitative data and information for their analysis•Provides policy analysis and program support to promote integration of equity, diversity, and inclusion into the Agency’s initiatives•Extensive experience in analyzing and synthesizing information from a number of sources within and outside of an academic setting, including work as a Research Assistant in Carleton University’s Political Science Department, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency•Conducting extensive research on the role of gender and feminism within Canadian politics, policy, and government, and delivered well-received written reports and oral presentations to communicate findingsIn December 2021, I completed my Masters's in Political Science at Carleton University with a focus on Canadian Politics, Gender, and Policy. While studying I conducted research on behalf of Professor Conrad Winn and the Department of Political Science and working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for 'COMS 2500: Communication and Science' for Professor Scott Dobson-Mitchell. I have had the opportunity to work as a Constituency Assistant in MLA Lorne Dach’s office, and as Premier Rachel Notley’s Constituency Manager over two summers, as I was completing my Honours Bachelors Degree in Political Science with a concentration in Canadian Politics at Carleton University. During the rest of my undergrad, I have also worked part-time for the New Democratic Party of Canada, The New Democratic Party of Ontario, Statistics Canada, and the Broadbent Institute.
