I’m a College Counseling professional who is passionate about guiding students to the right fit when it comes to higher education. I believe every student deserves an advocate and work hard to be that cheerleader for everyone with whom I work. I have a background in selective college admissions and have served in both the private high school setting and, currently, at an independent counseling firm. I’m a strategic thinker and problem-solver who readily rolls up her sleeves and partners with other leaders to come up with innovative ways to engage with students and help them accomplish their goals.

Director Of College And Career CounselingNext One Up Jul 2019 - Dec 2021Baltimore, MarylandAs the first full-time College Counselor and founding Director of NOU's college counseling program, I developed a complete, year-round curriculum that guides our students to and through college. This curriculum utilizes classroom guidance lessons, college visits, one-on-one counseling, and group counseling to help students identify their strengths, set long-term goals, and apply to college and/or pursue a career. We then provide wrap-around supports throughout their college careers to ensure success in the classroom and on-time graduation. Since joining the team, 100% of our students have been accepted to college and 100% of the class of 2020 is returning to their campus for their sophomore year. 16 of our 28 college students are collegiate athletes, with 4 competing at the Division 1 level. I implemented and manage our NOU Scholarship program, which has given 8 awards to date. College partnerships are crucial to the work that I do, which I why I developed our college partnership program, which resulted in our first MOU being signed in the summer of 2021. Additionally, I have visited over 90 college campuses over the course of my career. -
