I was promoted to oversee the development of the Forever Utah Alumni Network, spearhead Gradweek activities, and manage a small portfolio of donors, while leading an ever-growing staff. As part of my donor relations responsibilities, I perform hosting functions for the annual Founder’s Day celebration. I also lead the Home Away From Home program advisory panel in an effort to improve access to housing. I regularly work with campus reps and giving, marketing, and engagement teams to deliver on key initiatives.HIGHLIGHTS➺ Launched the Home Away From Home program, delivering the initiative under budget while increasing student participation. Hired program and communications managers, assembled an advisory panel, gathered data during the pilot program, led promotional functions, and facilitated partner meetings.➺ Increased engagement and established new relationships with alumni after coordinating the office’s first-ever attendance at the 2021 Gymnastics National Championships; extended visibility by establishing a presence at the PAC 12 Championship and Rose Bowl games. Executed alumni events, promoted social media takeovers, distributed branded swag.➺ Ensured successful Gradweek celebrations by coordinating and promoting the event, delegating staff assignments, managing communications, controlling budgets and P&L, and booking vendors/speakers. Planned a VIP reception and two open houses centered on alumni representation, grad school, and career development.➺ Standardized campuswide messaging concerning student affairs by designating a staff member to represent a sports team and college/school, ensuring that each entity received relevant, consistent information.➺ Presented at the Alumni Relations Collaboration meeting, led the Diversity in Action Subcommittee, and participated in meetings for the Academic Senate EDI Committee and Core Values Committee of University Advancement Department.

Leadership Annual Giving OfficerAdvanced to develop the university’s annual giving model, I was accountable for engaging circa 54,000 donors gifting up to $10K annually while managing a portfolio of up to 750 alumni and parent constituents. Additionally, I managed extensive communication efforts among internal staff, campus partners, and donors to drive engagement and fundraising. I also facilitated bi-monthly University-Wide Advancement meetings and participated in various interview committees. HIGHLIGHTS➺ Played a pivotal role in yielding a significant increase in donation gifts, while improving donor stewardship and engagement, after partnering with leaders across all 18 colleges/schools to structure a giving model to collect and track donor data. Teamed with directors to explain the vision, share data, and define the strategy to augment fundraising efforts.➺ Co-chaired the EDI Taskforce that defined the department and university mission and vision, as well as brought leaders to the campus to facilitate trainings and book reviews with partners.

**HIGHLIGHTS**➺ Grew University-Wide Advancement meeting attendance when we shifted to virtual meetings after leading the transition to online gathering, including rebranding the meeting’s name and overall feel for participants.➺ Strengthened cohesion and morale among large and remote staff during the pandemic by coordinating virtual events. Devised a plan and sourced all items to ensure a safe, comfortable work environment post-pandemic.

In 2015, I decided to combine a passion for photography with my affinity for creating human connections. I grew this photography venture into a strong, financially viable business built on relationships and referrals. I enjoyed meeting with clients to understand their needs and expectations, quickly building rapport, gaining their trust, and delivering a quality product. For six years, I ran all operations, including financial transactions.

HIGHLIGHTS➺ Optimized communications (content and aesthetics) by revamping and standardizing email communications. Increased social media presence via overhauling the website (including capturing media), as well as growing Facebook and Instagram accounts.➺ Created, planned, promoted, and managed all aspects of a day-long retreat called Deeply Rooted; sourced speakers and branded apparel to promote the event, which has continued since my departure.➺ Instituted best practices on managing crises after forging relationships with law enforcement, schools, and social workers. Identified needs among church members and families; served as a confidant and trusted counsel for several individuals.➺ Helped transform the church culture into a more inclusive institution with additional ministries, leading to increased volunteer work/attendees, as well as a need for a fundraising strategy and advisory panel. These ministries still exist today.

HIGHLIGHTS➺ Partnered with the President and Director of Development to define and execute on the organization’s strategic vision. Supported growth via nurturing relationships with volunteers, sponsors, and corporate and community leaders.➺ Contributed to creating strategic plans for the fundraising campaign, outlining goals, budget recommendations, and timelines. Monitored performance/effectiveness of the campaign, evaluating efficiencies, community engagement, event satisfaction, and areas for improvement.➺ Designed promotional materials, such as internal communications, newsletters, and print and radio advertising. Managed marketing campaigns, created all social media marketing content, and analyzed ROI.➺ Led event planning/coordination functions, including conferences, fundraising banquets, graduation events, and Board of Trustees dinners.
