Served as liaison with community partners in hospital and clinic to communicate research aims, encourage recruitment, and ensure protocol compliance. Functioned as primary contact with research subjects who experienced fetal or infant loss and obtained consent for autopsy and tissue collection. Allocated study personnel and resources to attain study goals with maximum efficiency. Worked closely with PI/ Director to effectively communicate study needs. Assured safety and regulatory compliance. Involved with all aspects of start up for a randomized control trial including literature review, identification of outcomes measures, protocol development, training, and protocol implementation. Member of the Safe Passage Study research team – a longitudinal, NIH-funded, infant mortality study.Responsible for participant recruitment, scheduling, and retention. Performed data and specimen collection per study protocols including: consent and questionnaire administration, specimen collection, storage and shipping, data entry, infant dysmorphology photo collection and assessment, infant and adult anthropometric measurements, infant hearing testing, and maternal medical record abstraction. Collected infant and fetal physiology data including: ECG, respiration, blood pressure, EEG, and body temperature.
