Design residential, public and commercial projects in the Bay Area with a focus on and commitment to sustainable building.

Designed multifamily affordable housing projects and custom single-family residential projects. Produced computer renderings for presentation to planning commissions and neighborhood meetings. Coordinated project design with clients, HUD and CalHFA, planning and building department officials, consultants (i.e., surveyors, geotechnical and structural engineers, energy efficiency consultants), suppliers, and general contractors. Created building programs, performed site analyses, researched planning and building codes, produced schematic designs, and analyzed preliminary construction costs. Managed and produced complete, coordinated construction documents sets, worked with general contractors to value engineer project to meet budget, and performed construction administration on small to large projects.

Provided complete architectural services for single-family residential projects, working closely with clients, engineers, builders and suppliers. Developed building and interior designs, researched materials, coordinated engineering systems, wrote specifications, and produced construction documents and details. Assisted in the bidding process and observed the construction phase to ensure correct execution of the work. Produced 3D computer models and renderings.

Participated in designing curriculum for undergraduate course on international housing issues taught by Professor Nezar AlSayyad. Led student discussions of course readings and met with students to help them better understand the material.
