After building a great working relationship with the Events Manager at The Business Desk during my time at the Chamber of Commerce I was offered a part time role upon my return to university. This primarily involved editing of their website and customer management systems, but also management of their awards ceremonies both in Yorkshire and the North West.

Working as part of a small team to deliver 100 events in a year, including up to 90 delegates independently, and 500 as part of a team. Involved in all areas of event coordination including venue selection, speaker negotiation, delegate registration, sales & marketing as well as onsite management. In particular I was responsible for the ‘Leeds Media’ calendar of events; including liaising with The Leeds Media Committee and internal stakeholders, and being the lead contact for the initiative. My success in this area led to me taking on further responsibilities, culminating in running all of the events for the Leeds department.
