I'm an eighth generation Oregonian deeply rooted in my beautiful corner of the world. I was fourteen years old, working on our family farm, when I first learned the term "landscape architecture," and since then I've passionately pursued education, creative outlets, and professional opportunities related to place-bettering, resource-managing, and world-caring work.In 2012, I returned to Oregon after a twelve-month, twenty-five country exploration of the world, more eager than ever to care for the Pacific Northwest and its people through devotion of skills and heart. The Big Scheme of Things: To integrate my life-long love of learning and appreciation for the natural world into meaningful work that betters the individual, the community, and the planet for following generations.Active Community Involvement: Volunteer service with Oregon ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects); participating in local Transitional Housing projects for Portland area low income residents; coordinating educational opportunities to promote sustainable and nourishing food systems. I am interested particularly in regionally appropriate food systems on levels from community gardens to farm-scale agriculture. I'm a Licensed and Registered Landscape Architect with experience in planning, design, construction documentation, project management, and client/contractor relationships.
