I am currently completing a postgraduate research project into the antecedent motivations behind joining a mutual aid group during the covid-19 pandemic. With a proven record of achievements including a first-class honours degree in Psychology achieved following a two-year accelerated course, I have developed organisational skills and am able to work well under pressure. I enjoy new challenges and embrace the opportunity to undertake personal development. At undergraduate level I successfully completed a dissertation research project into the effects of sex and gender on pain threshold and tolerance, becoming proficient in research skills, SPSS and report writing. An interest in both research and clinical applications of psychology sets me apart in my approach to mental health care, using initiative to apply theoretical knowledge.
