This was a start-up position in a newly formed corporate department reporting directly to the CEO, where she also served on the Diversity Leadership Team and coordinated company-wide diversity initiatives, including a cultural audit, drafting of the company’s Strategic Diversity Management Plan, launching an internal train-the-trainer program, and start-up of various employee networks and affinity groups. During this time, Ms. Cole also served as the Coordinator for the Atlanta Diversity Managers Affinity Group (ADMAG). ADMAG is comprised of diversity professionals from large employers and other entities in the Atlanta area who meet every other month to share best practices, network, and discuss ongoing diversity issues. Prior to launching the Diversity Department initiatives in the corporate office, she was the Senior Executive Assistant to the VP of Human Resources and the VP Finance CFO, JERZEES (a business unit of Russell Corporation) where she was instrumental in establishing company procedures and protocol when the company relocated their corporate headquarters from Alabama to Georgia. She was promoted to the corporate human resources department within one month of joining the organization, where she served as the Senior Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, and Vice President of Compensation, Benefits, and Leadership Development.
