I am a senior management financial professional with twenty-five years of accounting experience. Eleven years of experience in public accounting and fourteen years in leading the finances for a public school district. During those years I have developed many skills in governmental accounting and management. One critical skill in my success has been strategic allocation and budget development while working with multiple funding sources, various legal requirements, and unique restrictions. The success lies in maximizing the funding for the district while juggling all of those requirements. I have also developed effective internal control processes and procedures which have resulted in excellent financial audit results for multiple years.Another very important part of my life has been a project I founded in 2016 in memory of my son. The Will's Way Project is focused on providing a light in the dark for parents and caregivers with children in the hospital during holidays. This project has been extremely successful and provided a light for over 1,000 families through gift cards and gift bags. This project is fully funded through private donations.
