I also ensured we were compliant with the ever-changing data protection and property laws, updated our contracts and literature accordingly, reorganized or designed new systems and procedures, wrote training manuals and taught new and existing staff in line with the changes in law and our company values. This included working at an orphanage in Mexico, with the homeless in Los Angeles, counselling refugees in Germany and three times living and working in a refugee camp in Uganda where I taught, built homes and ran children's programs.
