I oversaw the property management and administration teams, managed our portfolio of properties and relationships with landlords, advising them on compliance, property management and refurbishment. I project managed all refurbishment works. I also ensured we were compliant with the ever-changing data protection and property laws, updated our contracts and literature accordingly, reorganized or designed new systems and procedures, wrote training manuals and taught new and existing staff in line with the changes in law and our company values. I traveled around the USA, Africa and Europe, studying and working in humanitarian aid, debriefing and counselling. This included working at an orphanage in Mexico, with the homeless in Los Angeles, counselling refugees in Germany and three times living and working in a refugee camp in Uganda where I taught, built homes and ran children's programs.
