As a faculty member, I create and deliver instruction in marketing, sales, and management for up to 100+ students each semester. Leveraging a hands-on approach to teaching, I develop experiential opportunities to help students cultivate their skills in real-world settings. I also serve on university-wide committees to drive enrollment and establish competitive pricing strategies. Efforts and outcomes included:🔷 Led university’s first group to attend a national team sales competition to place in the top 50% for both years and outperform larger universities with long-standing participation.🔷 Added new sales technology and social media marketing courses to improve program relevance.🔷 Connected with local and regional organizations to provide experience developing and presenting marketing, social media, communications, and fundraising plans.

I was invited to return to Charley Creek to hold dual responsibility for marketing in both the foundation and the newly renovated boutique inn. I also assumed oversight of inn operations for an interim period following a leadership transition and managed a 30-person hospitality and service team. Efforts and outcomes included:🔷 Built strong hospitality, retail, and food and beverage team that earned a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence.🔷 Helped elevate service levels and brand positioning to situate inn on a top-ten list for romantic getaways.🔷 Delivered marketing strategy, promotional programs, and website to increase reservations and event bookings.🔷 Led planning and execution of a multi-day, multi-site arts festival attended by 2K+, earning extensive press coverage showcasing the town’s vibrant cultural community.

I joined the executive leadership team within six months of hire to promote and expand the organization’s community living and service offerings. I led marketing, public relations, medical community partnerships, the foundation,and event planning. I also managed five sales team members, the volunteer program, and administered the marketing budget. Efforts and outcomes included:🔷 Streamlined operations, improved efficiency, and enhanced visitor and resident satisfaction with a formal turnover and admissions process.🔷 Launched organization’s first formal sales strategy to incentivize and motivated sales teams.🔷 Created and implemented new sales training and incorporated skill building and coaching to drive growth.🔷 Increased referrals by cultivating productive community and medical professional relationships.

It was a privilege to work directly with the philanthropist, Richard Ford, to execute on his vision for community engagement and outreach. My role working with the foundation expanded and evolved as I oversaw implementation of strategic marketing campaigns, event planning, and community partnerships.Efforts and outcomes included:🔷 Positioned Wabash as a destination-of-choice through marketing strategy and media relations.🔷 Formed and sustained donor relationships via community presentations and civic engagement.🔷 Planned and executed Wabash County Historical Museum’s grand opening.🔷 Led event planning for celebration commemorating the town’s 125th anniversary as the first electrically lighted city in the world.
