During her decade in health care, Bethe gained experience in advertising, brand development, community relations, media relations, internal communications, crisis communications, social media, Web design, and large-scale special events. From rebranding her hospital to serving on a team that built a new free-standing emergency room, whose branding was later adopted by several sister hospitals, to being one of the first in a company of 160 hospitals to take her organization into the social media era, Bethe has literally done it all. During her time at the hospital, she served on the board of directors for the Cowtown Marathon, 6Stones Mission Network, the Colleyville Chamber of Commerce, the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Pediatric Surgery Fund, and the Superintendent's Excellence in Education committee for the Birdville ISD. She volunteered for the Community Enrichment Center and provided pro bono public relations consulting for Open Arms, which provided transitional housing and care for victims of domestic violence.Published author and conference speaker on employee communication, engagement, and Web communication. Co-authored the article, "Designing an Employee-Centered Intranet and Measuring Its Impact on Employee Voice and Satisfaction," which was named a Top 5 Paper by PRSA's Research Journal in May 2009. Presented research at the PRSA National Conference in San Diego in November 2009 and the International Public Relations Research Conference in Miami in March 2009.Named a "40 Under 40" winner by the Fort Worth Business Press (2007), Board Member of the Year for the Cowtown Marathon, Ambassador of the Month for the Colleyville Chamber, Volunteer of the Month for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of North Texas, and Sunday School Teacher of the Year for First Baptist Euless.
