Worked within a building consultancy team on the retrofit of a multi-storey office building. Carried out a computational load take down using Rhino and Grasshopper, in order to assess the structural feasibility of proposed works.

A two year programme focused on developing leadership skills. The programme aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry, through a series of skills workshops, networking events, an intensive leadership ‘bootcamp’ and two year long group projects. To secure a place I was required to complete a series of applications, tests and interviews in order.

Carlisle, United Kingdom

Two consecutive summer placements. Worked within a team to design a range of building types, including new build residential, extensions and change of use conversions. Carried out surveys and liaised with clients, contractors, planners and engineers. Produced concept sketches, planning applications and detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD.

A RICS accredited conversion course which teaches the skills necessary to become a Chartered Building Surveyor.

Master’S Degree, Structural Engineering And Architecture (Meng, Riba Part 1), Class 1 Honours

This course combined Structural/Civil Engineering modules with Architectural design modules. It is unique to the UK in its dual.
