I love a good story – finding and sharing them is what drives my love of communications and public relations. A Northwest native, I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and graduated from Gonzaga University in 1991. I began my career in the heady days of 1990's Microsoft public relations. After nine years in high tech PR, I started an independent consulting practice serving clients more in line with my personal interests including education, nonprofit organizations and the hospitality industry. I began consulting with Fire & Vine Hospitality in 2013 and happily joined the company as Public Relations Director in 2017. In September of 2022, I made the leap back to private consulting practice and formed Union Bay Communications. The body of water near my home and the nature preserve at the Center for Urban Horticulture is surrounded by organizations that match my personal and professional interests in the diverse collection of outdoor areas, higher education, healthcare, nonprofits, as well as hospitality and retail. My approach to communications strategy is based on developing programs and campaigns that match your business objectives and resonate with your audiences.
