Concurrent titles: Administrator of Education, Coordinator of Docents, Assistant Director of Education. - Managed 100 + volunteers who provide regular and periodic service to the museum, overseeing all aspects of volunteerism including: recruitment, placement, training, retention and recognition; providing leadership and support for the governing body of the volunteer group, advocating internally and in the community. - Proven ability to retain 99% of active volunteers each fiscal year, providing an average savings of $100,000 in personnel costs to the museum. - Directed the Summer Adventures program from planning to personnel, serving over 150 children in the community and bringing in an average revenue of $25,000 to the museum. - Provided critical support to all departments across the museum by coordinating internal and external communications for the Program Division; the largest in the museum. Selected accomplishments: - Recognized for quality of work, consistently given additional, significant responsibilities outside of job description, regardless of title. - Elevated the professionalism of the volunteer program by initiating a re-structure of the governing body, creating job descriptions, and a Statement of Purpose. - Spearheaded a collaboration with University faculty to develop a student affinity group for the museum, increasing awareness of the museum on campus and providing the museum an invested group of college-age volunteers.
